Yet, I still hire proofreaders to review my articles. Sure, you think you are a great writer, but there’s not a person alive who won’t benefit from a copy editor giving the article a second look.
7. Will your article submission service use sound search engine optimization strategies to make my articles search engine friendly? If your hire a good article marketing company, they will not only edit your articles but they will make your articles search engine friendly as well. This way, your articles can be found on Google.
8. Will your company handle the day-to-day correspondence with site and ezine editors? You can spend hours answering questions from website and ezine editors. The best firms handle the routine correspondence for you. They bring you in only when you need to answer an important question. You should avoid firms that don’t respond to editors because your articles will never be published by highly targeted websites. They can say they submitted the article, but you won’t have any pickup.
9. Does your company submit articles in a way that Google respects, or do you blast articles out there? Google hates when people try to manipulate their rankings and will ding your article campaign if you send out too many articles too quickly. Make sure your article marketing company understands this. Otherwise, Google could blackball your article marketing efforts.
10. What do you charge for article submission? It has been my experience that the article submission process, if performed correctly, can take up to 10 hours or more to submit your article to 100 sites. That doesn’t count the proofing, editing, optimizing, consulting and following up. All this work takes time and effort. If the price seems too low, remember the old saying, “You get what you pay for.”

You want an article submission service that cares about your success. Many fly-by-night artists just want to take your money and run. Make sure the service you select takes the time to get to know you, your marketing goals and your audience. Follow these tips to ensure you get what you pay for! If not, you could be headed for disaster.

Starting a writing business is quick and easy with little overhead. The problem occurs on the marketing end. Most new writers find themselves at a stand still when it comes to marketing their writing services. Whether you are writing articles on your own or outsourcing them, your number one goal should be to get the most clients as possible for your online writing business. Here are some tips for effectively marketing your online writing business:

Business Cards- Believe it or not, business cards still works and is a cheap way to advertise your business. There are a lot of people in your local environment that need writing services. These includes insurance companies, health care facilities and much more. They may need you to research a topic and write a policy guideline or to write a business letter. The key is to have a website on the business card in order for potential clients to see your writing samples.

Create a Website- Most of your clients will be online, so you will need to have a nice website in order to market your skills and services. Make sure to include writing samples, contact information, the topics you cover and your prices. It does help to have an order contact form so that clients can get qoutes and request writing assignments. You can get a free contact form html code at Mycontactoform.com.

Forums- This method is free and is quite effective for gaining clients. For one, many webmasters already hang out at forums to find fresh content. Content marketplaces are also a good way to find webmasters and clients. The best content marketplace on the web is Constant-Content. These type of sites are better for selling pre-written articles rather than selling your writing services.

Freelance Writing Gig Sites-There are writing boards where people include jobs and gigs. You must be careful about wheening out the scammers from people who are truly interested in working with writers. Never use Craigslist as it is a breeding ground for scammers trying to get a free article out of writers.

Blog Commenting- Making blog comments are perfect for gaining clients. A blog owner may need writing services or a guest blogger. Many writers have been successful doing this and gained clients as well. You can leave your contact after stating you like the blog and that you offer writing services. The key is to keep the message personal and not make it seem like a “sales pitch”.

Email Marketing- Email marketing is still very effective if you make your messages personal and only message a targeted audience. Where will you find your email addresses? Classified ads are the perfect spot for finding email addresses. They usually act as a ‘free lead’ site rather than an effective advertising tool. Most people use online classifieds to get traffic, but most of the time, it is ineffective. You can offer them fresh unique content so they can put on their website to get more search engine traffic.

Some things to look out for: Everyone once in a while, you will get the occassional email back: “Hi, I am interested in using your services. Please call me at 555-2222 so we can further discuss this. Thank you.” If you get a call like this, run the other way. This person is trying to get a free lunch. What will happen is they will ask you a bunch of questions that has nothing to do with your writing services. These questions will be about how you go about Internet marketing online and how they can get more traffic to their site. You are not a consulting service, you only offer content, and this is what you should tell them. Give them the url to your site, and if they are interested in making a content request, they should email you with a writing request.

With all the health insurance options that are available today you might be wondering which company is right for me. Most of us purchase health insurance based on impulse. We look at the next TV ad or some mailer that we got. The reason I can say that is because I’ve been in health insurance industry as insurance broker for over a decade. I will share with you things you should look for when shopping for health insurance. Also I will share with you a company which offers best options you can possibly get in health insurance coverage.

The reality is most of us are educated by insurance companies on what to look for in health insurance coverage. We are misled in looking for featured in coverage that insurance companies tell us we should look for. We go to insurance company’s websites to educate our self about insurance, which is completely absurd. I can reassure you that insurance companies are not going to tell you on what you truly should be looking for. I bet if I was going to ask you what to look for in health insurance coverage you might tell me things like; Deductible, co-pays, low monthly premiums. Well…. Maybe. Let ask our self’s on why do we have health insurance coverage in the first place? To protect our self from large unexpected medical bills. That would be a true statement that is what insurance is intended to do.

There is more to health insurance plans and companies than you ever thought. Let me ask you this question… If god forbid critical emergency did happen to you and you required a specialist, would you would to have access to the best specialist in the world or some local doctor? There are literally millions of people die every year because they did not have access to the specialist. Most presidents of the United States if ever required a specialist were taken to Mayo Clinic. Mayo Clinic is a world class hospital known around the world as the best medical facility for major illnesses and accidents. Do you think your insurance company will let you get treatment at Mayo Clinic? The answer is absolutely not, not a chance. What if you were in a car accident and there decision had to be made where your leg had to be cut of because the place that you were treated at did not have the right specialist to reconstruct the leg and your health insurance company was not willing to pay for reconstruction surgery at a facility like Moyo Clinic. Well at least you know you saved couple of buck on your health insurance that you called from one-eight hundred number that you saw on that TV commercial.

The coverage that I wanted to share with you is offered by not yet very known insurance company. The company itself has been around longer than any other health insurance company in the world. Opt-in Marketing and Article Marketing — The Double Whammy!

The importance of getting people to come to your web site cannot be over emphasized. Once you have your system and your site set up for receiving money and delivering products, it is time to start your promotion. Until you get the attention of the buying public, there will be no sales. So how does one bring traffic to their business on the internet?

One of the most effective and least expensive ways for getting that vital traffic is a method called opt-in marketing. This means that you must find people who will make a choice to allow you to send them emails containing information about your business along with offers to sell them your products.

These people will do this because they have a desire for your product or service. They also believe that you are a knowledgeable person and that you are an authority in your field. They are eager to sign a form giving you their name and email address and requesting to hear from you on a regular basis. And, they will buy from you because they trust you. Who are these people? How did they hear about you? And, how did they form their opinion of you?

There is more than one way to get people to come to you and sign up for your opt-in list. But the one I will address is a FREE advertising method that is used extensively by all of the very top internet marketers in the business. It is called article marketing. It works like this.

You will write informative articles about your particular business niche. For example, if you are selling health products you may write an article on diabetes. You will put your signature and a link to your website at the end of the article. You will submit that article to some article directories and they will display it on the internet.

People who are interested in that subject will go to the Search engines and type in a keyword with regard to diabetes. The search engine will bring up the articles that have been written about the subject and your article will be among them. If your article contains good information, it will give you instant credibility in their eyes. They will be inclined to click on your web site link to read more information about the disease and may also be inclined to purchase products and services that you promote.

At your website you must have a form that offers them a free newsletter, ezine, catalog or promotion of some sort. The form will ask them to sign up to receive emails from you and will require they give you their name and email address. Make sure that you have plenty of good information on your website. The information is called “content.” And you will hear the saying that on the internet, “Content is King.” That is the truth.

When people do an internet search to get information, they do not want a sales pitch. So your article must give them what they are looking for. Make it an article with the latest valuable information. Set up your site with lots of good content so that they will not be disappointed when they click the link in your article and are taken to your site.

What makes a good web site? Good content mixed with good products and/or services. If you provide that, they will buy from you and if you give them something good for their money and keep in email contact with them, they will come back again and again.

Create pages on your website using articles written either by you or get permission from knowledgeable authors to use their articles. There are many available for free if you will be careful to display their name and website link with the article. Visitors to your site will appreciate that you have credible and informative content.

Millions of people every day are using the search engines to find information and products. This gives you the possibility of huge numbers of potential customers. What if you have several articles on subjects related to your business. What if you published 2 or 3 articles a month or even a week. The amount of traffic that could generate is phenomenal.

Let me throw in here a tip that can be absolutely the answer to you if you are not comfortable with writing. Some people just do not have much talent for it. Others can do it, but don’t really want to. If you are in one of those categories, fear not. I have the answer for you. It is called PLR. That stands for Private Label Rights. You can obtain some of these Free. Others can be obtained often for less than .00 an article. These are articles written by authors who are willing to give you the right to use the articles. If you get unlimited rights, you can use your signature on the article to claim authorship. You can make changes to the article to fit your particular product or service. You can sell the article. You can use the article in an eBook . You have free rein.

So now you have combined opt-in marketing with article marketing. With this awesome combination, you can develop a huge client base of steady customers. When that happens, you can continue to do the same thing over and over again. You will get the same results over and over again. And, your business will explode and continue to grow.

With the two-punch approach of article marketing to attract customers, and opt-in marketing to capture customers, your business has the potential for huge and sustained profits.

Find a home for your blog! You need a host for your blog, some are free, some charge a small amount per month for their service, some are simple to use and some require more technical knowledge, some have more features than others; choose carefully, once you’ve established your blog and have a few regular readers you may not want to change your address (your URL).

Start by surfing the Internet and the blogs to see what bloggers have to say about their hosting programs. Don’t get in over your head by picking a blog host that requires a technical expertise that is beyond your current capabilities. There are many free hosts that are more than adequate to start you off and are customizable — as you gain new technical skills you can edit your blog template to make your blog look like you want it to look and do almost anything you want it to do, all without changing your URL.

If you are using free hosts start blogs at two or three host sites just to see which one you like best and which one gives you the most capabilities right ‘out of the box.’ When you find one you are happy with, be nice and go back and cancel your other blogs.

Find a focus for your posts! Most every blog has a theme, a theme that sets the tone for most (not necessarily all) of the posts on that blog. Your blog can be a topical blog that focuses on a special interest of yours (politics, religion, health care, science, engineering, cooking etc.); a personal blog that focuses on what you are doing that day, where you have been, where you are going or any aspect of your life’s journey; or a showcase blog that displays your writing, art, photography, or etc.. Some posts will not fall into your blogs main theme and that’s OK — your blog is a reflection of you, and we all have different moods . . . we all ‘wear different hats;’ don’t decide not to post just because you feel like writing ‘something different.’

“Bletiquette!” The objective of most bloggers is to attract a regular readership; to do that you need to display some basic (really common sense) blog etiquette (bletiquette!):

When commenting on a post, stick to the point, don’t get personal or abusive.

Never comment as “Anonymous;” if you are ashamed to use your actual blogger name, don’t comment.

Try to respond to all comments on your post, even if it is just to say “thanks for commenting” (but don’t expect all bloggers to do this).

Don’t get personal by asking personal questions unless you have a long-standing relationship with the other blogger; bloggers enjoy the relative anonymity of a blog and a blogger name.
